Scheid Vineyards Tasting Room is in the heart of the fertile Salinas Valley (aka Steinbeck Country!) just about an hour's scenic drive from the Monterey Peninsula. It is bordered by the Santa Lucia Highlands to the west and the Gabilan Range on the east. Soils in the valley are ideally suited for wine grapes, and the warm climate is moderated by wind and fog from the bay making the Monterey appellation ideal for creating spectacular wines!

We have converted an original 100-year-old barn into an inviting and friendly place to experience our wines. Our helpful tasting room staff will delight your palate with a variety wines including Pinot noir, Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Gewurztraminer and Riesling. During the harvest season, ripe grapes are available for grape and wine taste comparisons. You will also find Scheid Vineyards apparel, Talavera Pottery from Puebla, Mexico and other goodies!
