Scheid Vineyard’s 2000 square foot wine lounge is located on historic Cannery Row, specifically 751 Cannery Row, Monterey, and is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm and for special events. Our newly opened wine lounge features a stylish design of coffered ceilings, recycled hickory floors, rich mahogany paneling and vintage stucco walls that are reminiscent of the history of Cannery Row, yet offer a modern twist of contemporary design. The outcome is an elegant setting and a beautiful place for you, our guest, to enjoy the array of offerings from local artisans while you sip swirl and savor the award-winning wines of Scheid Vineyards. Scheid Vineyards Cannery provides not only tastings of Scheid wines and Scheid Reserve wines, but also educational classes on winemaking and blending, and day trips to the vineyard, as well as an expansive retail marketplace featuring a gourmet selection of local charcuterie and cheeses from the Culinary Center of Monterey. Scheid Vineyards Tasting Room is in the heart of the fertile Salinas Valley (aka Steinbeck Country!) just about an hour's scenic drive from the Monterey Peninsula. Scheid Vineyards features an original 100-year-old barn that has been converted into an inviting and friendly place to experience our wines. Our helpful tasting room staff will delight your palate with a variety wines including Pinot noir, Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Gewurztraminer and Riesling. During the harvest season, ripe grapes are available for grape and wine taste comparisons. You will also find Scheid Vineyards apparel, Talavera Pottery from Puebla, Mexico and other goodies there!
